    Why is Export Customs Important?

    All goods shipments from EU to third countries require export customs clearance. This ensures proper export and statistical records.

    Export Documents

    Export generally requires:

    • Export declaration (EAD)
    • Commercial invoice
    • Packing list
    • Transport document
    • Certificate of origin (if needed)

    The Export Process

    1. Submit export declaration
    2. Present goods at customs office
    3. Customs approval
    4. MRN number issued
    5. Goods can leave the EU

    Exit Confirmation

    Export closure requires exit confirmation. This happens automatically at exit point, but must be verified in ECS system.

    VAT Refund

    VAT on export goods can be reclaimed if:

    • Exit is confirmed
    • Documentation is complete
    • Tax authority requirements are met
